SiteFix Audit

Find out what is quietly breaking your website.

We open your site like a customer would — on a phone, in Safari, with the cookie bar still up — and send you a prioritised report of what goes wrong, how to reproduce it, and how to fix it.

Tested by a person, not a scanner. Fixed price. No retainer, no upsell.

Example audit findings marked on a phone screen of a demo shoe store: 1, the Add to Cart button covered by a cookie banner (High, WCAG 2.4.11); 2, an email error message not linked to its field (Medium, WCAG 3.3.1); 3, a Size Guide link with a 14px tap target (Medium, WCAG 2.5.5).

Manual testing

Real browsers, real taps, real form submissions, and your AI chatbot or assistant used like a visitor would. Tools assist; a person decides.

Reproducible findings

Every item has steps, device and browser, so nobody argues about whether it is real.

Fixed scope and price

You know the number of pages, findings and the delivery window before you pay.

Symptoms you may already have noticed

Most websites are not broken everywhere. They are broken in two or three specific places that happen to be where the money is.

Forms that fail quietly

A visitor fills in your enquiry form, sees a green tick, and nothing ever arrives. You only find out weeks later, if at all.

A mobile layout that hides the one button that matters

Sticky headers, cookie bars and chat widgets stack up until "Buy" or "Book" is covered on the phones most of your visitors use.

Links that died in the last redesign

Old footer links, moved pages, a menu item pointing to a staging URL. Each one is a small loss of trust at a moment that counts.

A checkout or booking step that loses people

Validation that rejects valid postcodes, a Back button that wipes the cart, a payment page that never loads on Safari.

The kinds of findings an audit turns up

Illustrative examples drawn from the sorts of problems small-business sites have. They are not claims about any particular client.

  • critical Contact form reports success while the request fails with a server error.
  • critical Cookie banner overlaps the primary purchase button at 375px wide.
  • high Required field errors shown by colour only, with nothing read out to screen readers.
  • high Postcode validation rejects valid formats with a space, blocking checkout.
  • medium Collection filters are lost when the browser Back button is used.
  • medium A 2.9 MB hero image delays the first product on mobile by several seconds.
  • low Footer link to the shipping policy returns a 404.
  • low Keyboard focus outline removed globally, so Tab navigation is invisible.

What the report contains

One PDF, written for whoever will do the fixing. Each finding follows the same structure so nothing gets lost in a handover.

Prioritised findings
Ordered by severity so the first page of the report is the list of things to fix first.
Steps to reproduce
Numbered steps plus the exact device, browser and viewport, so a developer can see the bug in minutes.
Expected vs actual
What should have happened and what did — written plainly, no jargon required.
Severity and business impact
Why it matters to a visitor and to your revenue, not just that it is "wrong".
Screenshot evidence
Annotated captures for every finding on Professional and Business audits.
Recommended fix
A concrete, practical suggestion, with a WCAG reference where the issue is also an accessibility barrier.

Questions people ask before ordering

All questions and answers

Is the audit automated?

No. A person opens your site in real browsers and on mobile viewports, clicks through it, submits forms, and writes up what goes wrong. Automated checkers are used only as a supporting tool, never as the deliverable.

Can you test the AI chatbot, assistant or agent on my site?

Yes, by a person, as part of the page it sits on. We use it the way your visitors do: does it open and close on phones and desktops, can it be used with a keyboard and a screen reader, does it answer, how does it handle empty, unclear or off-topic questions, does it hand over to a person or a form when it should, and does it get in the way of anything else on the page. An AI agent that takes actions, such as booking or filling in a form, is tested as a user journey in the Business package with a test account you provide. Every problem comes with steps to reproduce, like any other finding. We do not grade whether its answers are factually correct, or test it for security or misuse; that needs a specialist AI evaluation.

What do I actually receive?

A written PDF report. Each finding has an ID, the page it was found on, the device and browser used, steps to reproduce, expected versus actual behaviour, a severity rating, the likely business impact, a WCAG reference where the issue is also an accessibility issue, and a recommended fix. Professional and Business also include screenshot evidence.

How long does delivery take?

Starter and Professional reports are delivered within 48 hours of a confirmed order. Business reports are delivered within 5 business days because they cover whole user journeys and a retest. The clock starts when we send the confirmation email, which we do within 1 business day of verifying your payment and checkout details.

Does the audit guarantee more sales or a higher conversion rate?

No, and you should be wary of anyone who says otherwise. The audit finds things that are broken, confusing or blocking, and explains their likely impact. Whether fixing them lifts your numbers depends on your traffic, offer and many other factors we cannot control.

What happens after I pay?

You are taken to a thank-you page, and the payment provider emails you a receipt with an order reference (orders made free with a code don't get one). Checkout already collected your website and the pages to test, so there is nothing more to send. We verify the payment in the provider dashboard, confirm the scope by email within 1 business day, and then the delivery clock starts.
