SiteFix Audit

Questions and answers

Everything we are usually asked before an order. If yours is not here, email us.

Is the audit automated?

No. A person opens your site in real browsers and on mobile viewports, clicks through it, submits forms, and writes up what goes wrong. Automated checkers are used only as a supporting tool, never as the deliverable.

Can you test the AI chatbot, assistant or agent on my site?

Yes, by a person, as part of the page it sits on. We use it the way your visitors do: does it open and close on phones and desktops, can it be used with a keyboard and a screen reader, does it answer, how does it handle empty, unclear or off-topic questions, does it hand over to a person or a form when it should, and does it get in the way of anything else on the page. An AI agent that takes actions, such as booking or filling in a form, is tested as a user journey in the Business package with a test account you provide. Every problem comes with steps to reproduce, like any other finding. We do not grade whether its answers are factually correct, or test it for security or misuse; that needs a specialist AI evaluation.

What do I actually receive?

A written PDF report. Each finding has an ID, the page it was found on, the device and browser used, steps to reproduce, expected versus actual behaviour, a severity rating, the likely business impact, a WCAG reference where the issue is also an accessibility issue, and a recommended fix. Professional and Business also include screenshot evidence.

How long does delivery take?

Starter and Professional reports are delivered within 48 hours of a confirmed order. Business reports are delivered within 5 business days because they cover whole user journeys and a retest. The clock starts when we send the confirmation email, which we do within 1 business day of verifying your payment and checkout details.

What counts as a "page"?

One public URL on your site: a home page, a pricing page, a product page, a contact page, and so on. A long single-page site counts as one page. Pages behind a login, paywall or payment step are out of scope unless we have agreed a journey in the Business package that uses a test account you provide.

What counts as a "user journey"?

A sequence of steps a visitor takes to complete a goal, such as searching for a product, adding it to the cart and reaching the payment page, or filling in a multi-step enquiry form. Each journey can touch several pages; the Business package includes up to three.

Can you test behind a login or complete a real purchase?

We test publicly accessible pages. For Business journeys that need a sign-in, you can create a throwaway test account and share it through your own password manager or a one-time link. Never send us your own credentials. We stop at the final payment step and do not place real orders unless you ask us to use a test card you have set up.

Which devices and browsers do you test on?

Current versions of Chrome, Edge and Firefox on Windows; Safari's engine (WebKit) at desktop, iPad and iPhone sizes; and Android phone sizes in Chrome's engine, from 320px wide upwards. We use real iOS and Android devices where available and accurate browser emulation otherwise. The report lists exactly which combination each finding was reproduced on.

Does the audit guarantee more sales or a higher conversion rate?

No, and you should be wary of anyone who says otherwise. The audit finds things that are broken, confusing or blocking, and explains their likely impact. Whether fixing them lifts your numbers depends on your traffic, offer and many other factors we cannot control.

Is this a security penetration test or an accessibility certification?

No. We note obvious security hygiene problems we happen to see (mixed content, forms over plain HTTP, exposed configuration files) and we reference WCAG success criteria where a finding is also an accessibility barrier, but the audit is not a penetration test, a formal WCAG conformance evaluation or a legal certification of any kind.

Do you fix the issues?

Not as part of the audit. The report is written so that your developer, agency or no-code platform support can act on it directly. If you want help after reading it, email us and we will tell you plainly whether it is something we can take on.

What happens after I pay?

You are taken to a thank-you page, and the payment provider emails you a receipt with an order reference (orders made free with a code don't get one). Checkout already collected your website and the pages to test, so there is nothing more to send. We verify the payment in the provider dashboard, confirm the scope by email within 1 business day, and then the delivery clock starts.

What if my site is down or I sent the wrong URL?

We will email you straight away. If we cannot start, nothing is lost: you can give us a corrected URL, or ask for a full refund before work begins.

What is your refund policy?

Full refund any time before we send the confirmation email that starts the work. After that, refunds are limited to the cases in our policy — a missed delivery deadline, a report that does not match what was promised, or a wrong finding we cannot correct — raised within 14 days of delivery, plus any right the law gives you. If we need details from you that never arrive, we refund in full after 30 days. Business orders include one retest, to be requested within 60 days; if you never request it, that part is simply unused. The full policy is on the Refunds and cancellation page.

Can I upgrade from Starter to Professional or Business later?

Yes. Email us with your original order reference and we will send a hosted checkout link for the difference ($50 from Starter to Professional, $150 from Professional to Business). Delivery times restart from the upgrade.

Do you need access to my CMS, hosting or analytics?

No. Everything we test is what a visitor can see and do. Please do not send passwords, API keys or customer data.
